I Believe You Poem by Sara Hol

I Believe You

Rating: 5.0

The betrayal stings deep in your heart
as you speak the truth
and it is ignored.

Angel wings fall black
as the clouds pick up speed
through out the sky.

Abuse, neglect, and violation
etch them self into your skin,
your beautiful smile
fades,
as your infectious laughter
dies.

My heart breaks with
your own,
as your young soul
suffers...
I believe you.

These scenarios and feelings
are what I had wanted
life not to grant you,
I never wanted you to experience
the feelings I dealt with,
the ones that cling to your soul..
blackening you.

I'm sorry life has dealt you
this hand,
I am so sorry.

You are too young
and too beautiful in spirit
to have to suffer...
my heart breaks with your own.

I love you,
I believe you.
