I Can'T Deny - Poem by Ryan Holmes

I wrap around this agony,
Aware that I will never be
Good enough for anyone.
The rocks are thrown as I am shunned.

Living, twisting, sacred lies,
The truth is kept, I don’t know why
I cannot say what’s on my mind,
And now I’m caught, I can’t deny.

My feelings for you anymore.
I’ve cried too long, my eyes are sore.
I wept for you, you turned me loose;
I’m not the one that you would choose.

Living, twisting, sacred lies,
The truth is kept, I don’t know why
I cannot say what’s on my mind,
And now I’m caught, I can’t deny.

I wish that I could take it back,
My memories, those painful nights.
The strength to live is strength I lack.
I can’t help but feel this ain’t right.

Living, twisting, sacred lies,
The truth is kept, I don’t know why
I cannot say what’s on my mind,
And now I’m caught, I can’t deny.

Why must I take this path alone?
Your true nature has now been shown.
You’d fucking stomp upon my heart
But I’m clever, I’m much to smart
To let you near my shattered soul
To take you in my arms once more
I’d rather hide within this hole
Down this six feet, down to the core

Living, twisting, sacred lies,
The truth is kept, I don’t know why
I cannot say what’s on my mind,
And now I’m caught, I can’t deny,
I can’t deny, I wish you dead,
I can’t deny, that I hate you
I can’t deny, to see you bled
I can’t deny, I love you too
