Your Lips Poem by Ryan Holmes

Your Lips

I slowly dream away the night,
Just thinking that we feel so right.
I pray you know I need you near.
Your siren call is all I hear.
I’ve not known one so beautiful,
And in your eyes I gain my strength.
So lonely and so sorrowful
Was I until I caught your gaze.
An errant one I was up to
The day I set my eyes on you.
I told myself, we could not be.
For surely you would not see me
As one that you could share your time.
I never thought that you’d be mine.
Yet now you are, as I am yours.
As I hold you outside your door,
I ask myself what did I do
To deserve this moment of bliss?
As I continue to kiss you,
All questions gone, there’s just your lips.
