I Can'T Do This... - Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

You push and you push,
Until you make me sick.
I can’t do this anymore,
My health is deteriorating quick.

You say you love me,
But if that is true,
Then you will not fight me
And you will not counter sue.

You stress me so much,
That I become ill.
I don’t want your touch,
Can you not feel?

That to you,
I am not attracted,
And now amount of forcing
Is going to change that.

I will not live my life,
As miserable as I have been.
Better to be alone,
For this has to be a sin.

Good-bye, my friend,
For that is all you could have been.
Had you only listened,
Had I stood firm,
This tragedy would not have occurred.
