I Cannot Help Being So Old As I Am

Rating: 5.0

I cannot help being so old as I am
And feeling so lonely and lost
Missing so much so much of the time
Feeling too much of my world has gone
People I respected and even admired
Friends family so many so much
And I cannot go back
And nothing can be done
And so whatever conversation or meeting I have
Whatever opportunity to be with others
I should try to go with open mind and heart
Hoping and hopefully- even if pretending
That I am still a part of the world.

'Whatever opportunity to be with others I should try to go with open mind and heart Hoping and hopefully- even if pretending That I am still a part of the world.' - Yes, exactly. You are very much a part of the world. Your pen connects people. 5 stars*****!

Deeply poignant and touching. The hope within us will keep the torch burning. Beautifully conveyed and crafted.
