I Choose Eternity, Not An Hour Poem by Leslie Alexis

I Choose Eternity, Not An Hour

Love, spending an eternity with you
is more important than having you today;
My words need to be perfect. What I say
Will be your very first image of me.
It will be the starts our destiny.
The risk it bears, fuels my fears.
So I choose eternity, not an hour.
I cannot rely on seconds of pleasure
To make you my love, my bride, MY WIFE!
This time I will take my exit; to strengthen
My approach, I will be a storm in a friend.
I'll become a prince and make you my wife!
Today's lost is tomorrow gain
Though, full of pain my heart will walk away,
Because it knows that though you are reach,
its colors are unworthy... for now...
