I Come Back to You
30/09/2023
I come back to you when things are done
When everyone has drunk me to the dregs
When I find myself left unaccompanied
I come back to you, to the last resort
Deep down, I know this triviality
I know these meaningless fancies
Yet these mundane hyperboles usurp me
I come back to you when they cease to find pleasure in me anymore
I know you are there for me, for all
Though this naked freedom startles me
Snatches me from my trajectory
These outrageous abundances frustrate me
I come back to you when I am me
In all the other occasions, sheer falsehood engulfs me
As they throw me in disillusion
I come back to you with shameless hope

I would like to translate this poem
When you have a trusted and reliable one watching your back.
