I Confess Poem by Randy McClave

I Confess

Rating: 5.0

I sent a prayer for you
But, of course I always do,
I couldn't preach, that I will confess
There is too much stress.
You always listen to everyone's story
No matter how sad, depressing, or even gory,
Then you smile and then you bless
I couldn't do it, I confess.
You have brought marriages back together
You gave shelter to those in inclement weather,
Deeply and soulfully you truly impress
I couldn't do it, I confess.
I see drunks and druggies leaving the police station
You showed them all love and salvation,
You cleaned them up, and also their mess
I couldn't do it, I confess.
You have never turned any person away
For us all you do sincerely pray,
You have helped when we were all in distress
I couldn't do it, I confess.
Today I sent you a prayer
As I know that God is with you with love and care,
My faith and belief in you my prayer does express
I know that you'll heal, I confess.
