I Considered You A Good Friend Poem by Jiya Mili

I Considered You A Good Friend

I considered you a good friend
I considered myself lucky to have you
You said I could trust you 200 percent
Now I am questioning its figurative value.

I wrote verses in your praise
I even wrote an ode to you, my friend
You were my confidante, my adviser
I knew I could always hold your hand.

Then you did something
That was an aberrant in the route
Try as I might
I couldn't give you benefit of doubt.

You knew I wanted a platonic relationship
Still you sent me an amorous pic
To me it was a bolt out of the blue
Why did you do so, I haven't got a clue.

Twice I questioned you
Even though I knew there was no rational
Wanted to give you a chance my friend
But you pretended everything was as usual.

I agree, its your privilege and its your right
In any direction you can steer your life
But unless you respect my boundaries
This relationship is certainly going south.
