I'D Rather Not Have Got Sick

I was happy to impress with my deep singing voice
And didn't have to do what I didn't want to do
But rather than one or the other or both
I'd rather not have got sick.

I wouldn't have seen what I went there to see
And been assured of what I suspected
But rather than one or the other or both
I'd rather not have got sick.

I wouldn't have had the chance to juggle my 'rathers'
But know I'd rather have missed the chance
Than get the cold that I got on the train,
No, I'd rather not have got sick.
