I Did Enough Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I did enough of soul searching
Went through each words of preaching
No where I could find slight pretext?
Or there was any mention in text

I look at sky and its horizon
I find no boundary or zone
I see lovely and smiling eyes
All birds around and above to fly

It makes me to thank you as savior
For all that you did as frank mentor
Granted us lovely land to live and enjoy
There was love in abundance with joy

You have made silent criteria
Divided into happy and dark areas
Each one of us is passing through different zone
Happiness enters and darkness is gone

Not a slight doubt must be kept in mind
I was and always may remain kind
“Let human cut throats of human”
I shall have to teach them to maintain”

What all you see around?
Uneasiness, diseases and hostility round
It is all not of my creation
You people have spoiled entire equation

War, droughts and floods
These are not dreadful words
They are my secret arms
They do and perform secret harms

Death is only weapon
That keeps you under check then
Still many remain totally blind
I shall have to constantly remind

Remember me when you all are in crisis
I have no other theory or thesis
“Love and be loved for all the times to come”
Only brother and peace may make you always welcome
