There once was a lady
A very special lady
I had the chance to win her love
But I let that chance slip away

Now it seems everyday
I regret it more and more
I have no one else to blame
For things I didn’t say

I know all I had to do
Was just to let her know
What my feelings were
Maybe even let them show

But I didn’t do that
Now as you can see
I’m here all alone
There’s no one with me
