I Didn't Want To Fall In Love With You Poem by Ray Hansell

I Didn't Want To Fall In Love With You

Rating: 4.5

Walking along together
Nothing special to do
But I get this feeling
That I might be liking you

Walking through the park
Sharing a laugh or two
I keep telling myself
Now I know I'm liking you

Over lunch or dinner
We have so much to say
I never imagined
That love would start this way

No matter how hard I tried
I could not succeed
Because now it seems
I've found the one I need

But all along I told myself
I knew what I had to do
I couldn't let myself
Fall in love with you

I thought I was strong enough
And I would not give in
But it looks as though I was wrong
Looks like cupid is going to win

Looking back on those years
In all I tried to do
The one thing I couldn't stop
Was myself, falling in love with you
