I Died For My Love Poem by Maddie 'Rae' Berry

I Died For My Love

Rating: 4.5

I loved you and you loved me, you where my king and
I was your queen.
Each day our love poured into a stream of never-ending love and
I believed that you would be my only love.
But our love was destroyed the night you left,
when you said it was over and walked out of my life.

I wept for months on end for you to take me back,
but time made me stronger.
I thought that I would never want you back.
Rich and famous I had become, but I thought there was something that lacked.
One night I drove along in my Mercedes Benz
and saw your parents walking in the rain to an unknown place.
With tears running down their faces, I jumped out of my car and followed them round.
That’s when I saw where they where heading towards
A gloomy graveyard with a secluded coffin, atop laid a picture of your smiling face.
I cried to your parents and asked what had happened of your fate
They told me that died one month after we broke up and showed me the note you wrote.
Stating that our break up was a huge mistake and that you still loved me
I cried so hard at your funeral and I spoke of the good times.

After I became numb and I tried to forget our good times,
but they haunted me through out my lonely nights.
Until one day I could not take it anymore and I turned off the lights.
A day later, I was found with a picture of you in my arms
My parents and friends wept and my fans mourned, as they placed my tombstone next to yours which read ‘I died for love'.
