I Have Written You A Opera Poem by Maddie 'Rae' Berry

I Have Written You A Opera

Feel the music cascading from my heart, on to paper forming notes and words.
Notice that they are all about you and the wonders you do.
I have written an opera.
Yes it is true.
All of this is for you the characters, the story, and the stage, are dedicated to you.
The piano symbolising our love;
Perfect and constant never heaving to pressure.
The pianist fingers move with that type of efficiency.
You frequent on and I haven’t even begun to describe the rest of the band.
This would in a way describe your perfect hand.
As it grasps mine in time with the music, to dance across the floor. Your embrace draws me in more and gives me ideas of which I have never had thought of before.

Being without you...Is something I could not bare. I cannot write it alone. You’re my muse, my inspiration, my source of strength.
And you don’t even know of it. How the ways things fall into place, when I see your beautiful face.
Left to right the beautiful dancers swing in their allocated space, symbolising your inner grace. Moves of such precision and beauty, this remains my duty to mirror these. For everyone to see, the person I see.

This, I guess, brings us to the work of actors. Melodrama and realism used to create, a fixed portrayal. Of how you deal with life’s hurdles, moving, screaming, crying and bringing an essence to the stage. An essence I see about you. You’re a secret director that brings things together in place. You will never be afraid of what the critics have to say, a hidden strength, a leading force. There is almost nothing you can’t indorse. Yes that is right you have always been beside me in spirit and hope.

You’re the show I hope you’ll like it. You don’t have to buy a ticket.
You already have a spot...In the chorus, in the band, in the back row and in front, in my mind and heart, this is the opera.
I have written for you, and only you.
