I do not find inspiration in sadness,
it does not dwell in my pen.
Nor does it thrive inside a broken heart
and won't walk me through the grief.
It brings a flood of tears, drowning the paper
and wipes thoughts into smudges.
No, I don't find inspiration in darkness,
it does not liberate my muse.
Instead will freeze the ink, and evaporate
what's already written into nothingness.
It is a bird, wounded and dying,
faraway and out of reach.
I do not have a friend in Inspiration,
it is a flower blooming in spring,
and withers away
as times get colder.
A nice poetic imagination, Sipher. You may like to read my poem, Love and Lust. Thanks
It is a bird, wounded and dying, faraway and out of reach it is a flower blooming in spring, nature inspires..... a poetic mind may not have big reasons to be inspired by beauty. thank you for your poem. tony
