I don't say that life is good Poem by Lennart Sjögren

I don't say that life is good

I don't say that life is good
I would rather say that it is evil
but I don't say that either.

I wish for only three tools:
the setsquare, the scissors, the knife-blade

so I can measure and cut out
what can be measured
and what can be cut out.

The rest the night must measure
and those creatures that emerge
at that late hour.
