I find it hardest to understand
I find it hardest to understand
the stones and the large rocks
I cannot follow their breathing
and their extremely slow voices
the sea in that respect is easier
with its constant, ambiguous faithlessness,
but when they long and fixedly observe me
in the weathering we recognize each other.
In the sand
which I sieve between my fingers
we have a meeting-place.
