I Dreamt Of Tomatoes - Poem by Marilyn Lott

I had a dream the other night
I never would have thought
I would dream about tomatoes
That was a bit of a shock.

Rows and rows upon tall vines
Like a million round balls of red
The thought of biting into one
Made me toss and turn in my bed.

Finally I plucked one off the vine
It went right to my teeth
Juice dripped down my chin
It continued to drip beneath.

I awoke so very hungry for
The sight of wonderful rows
Of delicious and scrumptious
Juicy sweet tomatoes!

Your poem made me rework my approach towards tomatoes. I didn't know they could be so charming and tantalizing. Thanks, Marylin. (Report) Reply

Oh yes! I must plant some in the spring. You have made me dream for them too. (Report) Reply
