I dreamt of us last night
Exhausted, entangled in each other's limbs
I dreamt of your strength and prowess
How wild you were, like an animal
An animal that longed for skin beneath its skin
A scent of exhilaration
A pleasing fatigue in one's bones and ligaments
I felt you as though you were real
Laying right beside me where I lay
Our fingers entwined
Our hearts beating out the same measure
I was pleased, and so were you
I could not ask for more, even if I wanted to
My lips would not move again
I dreamt of us last night
And I shall dream of you again
For as long as I live
