I Felt Her Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I Felt Her

I felt her

1

Knowing her and her thoughts
I handed my poem:
“Cover, read line by line.”

Rested it on table
Her face down, lowered head.

Potato on the couch; episodes I observed.
Devilish and sexy were plots…
Foreseeing an outcome with each word,
Lips on lips, tongue in mouth, undressed.

Suddenly she raised head: “I was wrong,
You meant a mother’s kiss, and her love.
Sex in mind I saw it today’s love.”

2

I felt her. Her long hair
Fell on me, silky rays.

Then her lips soft and warm
She kissed me as welcome.

Tenderness, filled with love
In fever, next to death

SHE WAS MOM.
