I have a dream
None urged me to nurture
Though some people told
I should have a goal.
They considered it is worth
And I have the abilities
They saw in me.
With no one around
And to emulate,
Yet from whatever I assimilated,
If I were to be of any use
To help the distressed
And satisfy my inner-self
I must attain the dream.
The path was unknown and
There was little guide.
Somewhere deep in my heart
I had steely strength
And prayers poured forth
Each time I stood before an idol
Let my only wish be fulfilled.
I faltered many a times
To rise up again while
A distant beacon made me restless,
Endeavoured to gather strength,
Started to look for the right path.
Miles and miles,
Across the places,
Over the time
My journey continues
Till I'm there
I ought to be.
