I Have A Rhythm From My Birth Poem by Mohammad Younus

I Have A Rhythm From My Birth

I have a rhythm from my birth,
Beating like a heart within me,
A symphonic prayer echoing in my mind—
Al-Fatihah, a requiem for my lost soul.

As the mournful prayer ascends,
I witness the dead arise to life,
Tuning in to the divine radio,
Fishing for the sweetest melody,
A saga flowing from the eternal Source.

I spin this globe of ours,
Dancing to the rhythm of divine tunes!
A roundabout journey in every sense,
From eternity to eternity.

I claim my free trip,
Soaring with the divine!
Jumping beyond the contours
Of earth and sky,
No visa needed for this flight.

I long to sing of happiness,
Playing with the sound waves
Of the divine radio,
Forgetting this barren land,
Devoid of reefs, cliffs, and corals,
Instead diving into the sea of Infinity.
