I Have Learnt From The Great Prophet Poem by Mohammad Younus

I Have Learnt From The Great Prophet

I have learnt from the Great Prophet—
Do not dismiss the words I speak,
For they descend from the timeless,
Even to the prophets long before me,
Is your heart closed to them
Only because they are not
The echoes of your fathers

Listen well—this is ancient wisdom,
Passed down by those who walked
The path before you.
A messenger comes not with miracles,
But to unveil the Way of Truth,
Clear as the rising sun.

He cannot shield you
From the shadows of your errors,
Nor erase the faintest blemish of sin.
His task is to light the road ahead,
To point forward—
As the North Star guides the lost.
The cup of wisdom he offers,
You must lift to your own lips.

He will not bear you across the river,
Nor lift you on his shoulders
To the heavens.
Each soul must carry
Its own burdens,
For none escape
The weight of their deeds.

Yet if sorrow bends your back low,
His words are wind beneath weary wings.
If this world's weight oppresses you,
His call to Jihad of the soul
Will summon strength unknown.
When loneliness grips your heart,
His book becomes the companion
That never departs.

The divine hand stretches forth,
Ever ready to help,
For the messenger bears
The voice of the Eternal.
No man, however noble,
Can bestow the gifts
That only God, the Gracious, gives—
Be they treasures of this world
Or those beyond the veil.

A messenger does not speak
To charm or flatter,
Nor sway hearts with honeyed lies.
He makes no false promises
To gather followers,
No sweet words to soothe,
No empty vows for praise.

He speaks plainly, boldly—
As thunder rolls,
For truth does not soften
Its edges for comfort.
A day will dawn when every veil
Is torn away,
And we will stand bare
Before the brilliance of Truth.
On that day,
If you have walked sincerely,
You will not tremble.

Let honesty's fire refine your heart,
So when the final dawn breaks,
Your soul will rise unburdened,
Clothed only in the light
You have nurtured within.
