I have searched for you
since the beginning of time.
And, I have loved you
since I first saw your soul
shimmering in mine.
I have longed to hold you
gently in my arms.
I have loved you always,
incessantly, forever.

I have cried your name to Gods,
and have told all
that I love you. I have
felt the laughter of those
who do not believe in love
and, I defended you.

I have known your fears; lovers
who have come before me, and
I will comfort you,
laughing freedom,
forever.
