I Have Not Failed....... Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

I Have Not Failed.......

Rating: 5.0

Can you imagine
night without light...
the earth plunging into
pitchblack darkness
after sunset
resembling the kingdom of ghosts
the saviour of light
Thomas Alva Edison
invents the electric filament lamp
in the year 1900
his journey full of hurdles
over ten thousand experiments failed
after which the bulb was born
but he proclaimed:
' I have not failed
I have just found 10,000 ways
that won't work '
' Our greatest weakness
lies in giving up
try just one more time
you may get success '
What a definition of failure!
does failure really exist?
is failure a man-made phenomenon?
is failure a demoralizing word?
the atheist prays God for success
the philosopher delves deep....
failure only gives way to success
failure is just a milestone
in the journey to success.
