I Have To Forgive You Poem by Mark Heathcote

I Have To Forgive You

I have to forgive you.
But not without tears.
I have to forgive you.
But not without heartache.
I have to forgive you.
But not without grief's howling.
I have to forgive you.
But not without falling apart.
I have to forgive you.
But not without endless sorrow.
I have to forgive you.
For without you, there is no tomorrow.
I have to forgive you.
But not without endless anguish.
I have to forgive you.
But not without reigning back insanity.
I have to forgive you.
And yet, somehow move on.
I have to forgive you.
And yet somehow endure.
I have to forgive you, daughter.
And I, myself even more.
