I keep not night vigils just for salvation,
Nor out of fear of hell or desire for paradise.
I seek only to let light enter my heart,
Dispelling all shadows of ignorance,
Illusion, and delusion, and superstition.
I will watch the darkness in my soul vanish,
To embody my truest self, as I am meant to be.
I refuse to be controlled or terrified,
By the devil's whispers that poison my veins;
Instead, I embrace the divine cure,
A remedy for the viles of the devil self!
