I Kissed Her By The Blarney Stone. Poem by Steve Caine

I Kissed Her By The Blarney Stone.

I kissed her by the Blarney Stone.

I kissed her by the Blarney Stone, my lips were hers that day,
It was sometime in November, she took my words away,
I did not know, I had no clue, my life began that day,
When her big green eyes, in their surprise, took my words away.

In retrospect, the secrets kept, were not my things to say,
I'm lost for words, until they are heard, no telling tales today,
For If I tell, she will surely know, and go away away,
and her big Green eyes will realise, I kissed the stone again.

Oh Christmas Day, Oh Christmas Day, please come back to me,
So I see those big green eyes, and tell he what she means,
to melt the snow, so she knows, oh she knows….. you see,
she was everything, everything, everything to me.

Was sometime in of November, and I lost her Christmas day,
The snow it fell, oh yes it fell, and covered yesterday,
What could I say, how much I shout it doesn't melt away,
And her big green eyes in their goodbyes, and are in the past to stay.

They say I kissed the Blarney Stone, and blew my heart away,
If only I could take back the words, and wish the past away,
I would stand here, I would stand here, every Christmas Day,
Waiting patiently for her big green eyes, to appear, appear again.
