I Long For You, My Bride Poem by Ronald Chapman

I Long For You, My Bride

Rating: 5.0

Walking along the long the lonely roads of life,
Lonely and sad,
Looking for true love once again
An impossibility,

When I know,
Love is waiting for me in Heaven,
A curse, I do not understand,
That God, has bestowed on me.

My beautiful bride,
Dressed in white with Angel wings,
Open arms, beckoning, come to me, my love,
Hold me tight.

Only one step,
In the front of a speeding cannonball,
A speeding cannonball,

It will it take,
To be with you again,
My one and only love.

I've missed you so much,
My bride.
