I Lost My Virginity At Age Twenty

I lost it, like a star falls in the night,
Bright in its moment, then gone from sight.
A whisper of breath, a shiver of skin,
A tender tremble where the lights begin.

My heart was wild, yet soft as rain,
Dancing on the edge of joy and pain.
I touched the sky with a lover's hand,
Only to find it was made of sand.

The world was hushed, the air was thin,
Like fragile silk pulled tight within.
I felt the earth in a new, sharp way,
As if the sun would not rise that day.

But time slipped past, as all time must,
Leaving only loss and softened trust.
The moment gone, like petals fall,
Never again will I feel it all.
