I Love The Truth As I Love The Stars Poem by Mohammad Younus

I Love The Truth As I Love The Stars

I love the truth as I love the stars—
endless, constant, shining afar,
cold fire stitching the fabric of night.
I love the sky without asking why.

I swear, my heart is yours to keep,
as you let me drown in the sea
of your unity—no shore, no depth,
only the pull of tides unseen.

Your voice—an echo from eternity—
my oldest song, a melody etched
into the marrow of time.
Each note, a hymn of joy,
each breath, a trace of sacred dust
naming your presence in the void.

I would hold you before my eyes,
my shadow dissolving in your light—
as you once cradled me in silence,
thunder resting on your tongue.

You whisper to me in the dead of night,
in the clamor of the waking world,
your gaze stripping the seasons from my skin,
leaving me bare, emptied,
reborn into wholeness.

I gave you all—I bled, I broke—
yet nothing was mine to surrender.
Every breath, every wound,
already yours. What am I
but a ripple in your ocean?
A question dissolving before it is asked.

Anal Haq—your kindness split me
like a seed, husk falling away,
until only essence remained.
In the hollow of that silence,
you wove me back into one.

Then I knew you were real—
not a star, but the sky itself—
the darkness that carries the light,
the vastness where I float, unbound,
a universe I once called night.
