I Love You - Poem by Teresa Newman

I understand your anger, your rage
An animal caught in their cage
If you let them they will break you
Stomp on and turn you black and blue
Their strength is in your anger
Peace to them is a stranger
The secret is to use your mind
The one place only you can find
Look for me, I will be there
To take you away from your dispair
You say I don't know how you feel
I know life has dealt us a shitty deal
Our vows brought us two into one
Our life together has only just begun
Whenever it seems a little too much
Close your eyes and feel my touch
Don't worry I will be with you always
Forever & ever until the end of our days
