You walk up to my door,
smiling from ear to ear
and as you reach out to embrace me
I long to linger still...
I watch as you come in
and play and laugh with him....
I see the way you interact,
that shows you care.
I must not give in to fantasy or frill,
for I know the truth before me.

There was a time, when maybe you and I could have been.
Choices, time and all of life in between has taken what could have
been...away.

I love you still no matter what, I long for more of you.
The way we talk and communicate is what I need the most.
Although I long for the passion I can imagine would ignite
between you and me...
I know those days are gone, and there will be no love making tonight.
Your hand holding I can only imagine as soothing and secure.
Your bright brilliant smile, Oh how I hold it dear.

I love you still not matter what, forever and always true...
you my friend will forever be... my dream that can't come true.
