I'M Going To Die Alone - Poem by Lindsay King

tears roll down my face
almost as common as a bad cliché
we've been apart
longer than we were together
my wounds reopened
by a car, a face, a word
but i know that my name
my favorites, my rights
could never make you think of me

other girls with cookie cutter faces
pile around you like groupies
you never stated why you were with
a slump like me
only that it was for ulterior motives
you never loved me
you admitted that

why can't i stop being mad?
why can't i move on?
why do i have to distance myself
over 600 miles
only to feel like i need to be further?
why can't i stop being scared
i'll see you again?
why won't you disappear?
why won't i get what i deserve?
why won't you get yours?

if only you saw
what you did to me
i wonder if you'd care
take back those nasty words
that i can't erase
tell me i was worth more
you fucked me up
now i can't see

i'm going to die alone
i'm going to die alone
my neopets well fed
and my car adored
this broken girl will never smile
again, oh no
i'm going to die alone
i'm going to die alone
you were the most special person
to me
and youre gone
and i'm alone

Right Lindsay, listen to me young lady! No man is worth this sort of despair, you are young and will get over it. Love can be a real bitch, when it is not recipricated equally, but we go through these things for a reason, ie so you know what to look out for next time, and there will be one.

You have mates, time to get dressed up and go out and have fun. Remember, one door closes another opens. I suspect, it's your pride that really hurts the most. I should know, I am the queen of humility when it comes to love. And if he's a poet, stay away from them in future. Thats an order. 9 for heartfelt words All the best Tai
