I'm Jealous Of Those Who Journal Poem by Gary James Smith

I'm Jealous Of Those Who Journal

I'm Jealous Of Those Who Journal

I'm jealous of those who journal
Who have a point of reference on file
It we ever have a race to find some stuff
They'd beat me by a country mile
I have some in my family
That God has blessed as such
If we ever need information about anything
Their journaling helps out so much

Me...I'm used to disorganization
I just put things everywhere
And all of a sudden when I need it
I can't find it anywhere
Long time ago I had shock treatments
It was quite a shock to me
I think it short circuited some of my brain waves
Which have turned into an ocean or sea

But I'm still living in the present
Really nothing here is going to last
Who cares if I forget a thing or two
In my land of forgetfulness
But no! I don't dare to knock journaling
That's the very point of this poem
Because if I ever forget something or someone
I'll call them and they will know them!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
