I'm Looking Forward Poem by Gary James Smith

I'm Looking Forward

I'm Looking Forward

I'm so looking forward to looking backward
When I get to my journey's end
To see what fruit my faith has produced
And who's heading for Gloryland
When prayer's production has been revealed
At least from what I can see
And the joy of also now lookingahead
To those awaiting in eternity

He that winners souls is wise
Lord fasten my wisdom there
Longing to see men and women saved
Who are existing in despair
Who have not yet caught that glimpse of hope
That the Light of the world is Christ
Who alone can open blinded eyes
That sin holds closed like a vise

So shall every man give an account
Of his life one day before God
Every thought...and word and deed
Judged according to His Word
How important to have the facts at hand
But more important in the heart
Remember the Word of God became flesh
I pray you don't hear Him say...Depart!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
