I'm not selfish, I give all that I am.
I don't trust easily so seem remote,
But to those I love, myself I devote.
I hold it together, I'm like a dam.
I'm not biased, and I try not to judge.
I have opinions that I can't let go.
I don't know everything there is to know.
But for the things I do, I will not budge.
I'm not social, I know this for a fact.
I'm too quiet to be considered nice,
Too clever to make the same mistake twice,
And too sensitive to remain intact.
I'm not perfect, I don't know why I try.
But I won't stop, I can not surrender.
I will stay as one of life's contenders,
If not, what else is there to do but die?
