Since my beloved and trusted old computer,
Spiked, crashed and sadly died a few days ago.
It was then replaced by a more modern beastie,
On which the PoemHunter sites graphics greatly changed.
Changed so much I can't for love or money reply to any,
Member's kind and good comments on my poems.
Due to the poem mainframe page there is no submit button! ! ! !
So I'm not being ignorant,
By not replying to the kind comments,
Already awaiting a reply.
Just temporally speechless,
Literally speaking.
A thousand apologies,
But this is something new,
And so out of my hands.
This poetry monkey business would never have arisen
I guess perhaps,
If I sold my soul to the Devil...
Lucifer would be licking his satanic lips,
And rubbing his devilish hands together,
Viewing my soul on ebay on a Buy it now feature.
And a Catholic one as well.
Dear God in heaven!
The sacrifices I must make for this poetry art!
Unlike me, at least Lucifer has a button to press.
Lucky Devil.
A fascinating poem, Shaun. Sometimes there are so many things that come out on this site that we don't know how to deal with them. Yet, if we are persistent enough anf oin due time we can.figure it out. Yes, I do agree with you, there are many sacrifices that we need to do for the love of Poetry. One thing is the time that we devote to it. But if it is really our passion, the hard part will turn into joy. A beautifully crafted write very well conveyed.
Forgive the typos and this has been amended, so the revised changes won't show up for another 50 years, due to this site's now legendary updating slowness.
