'I'M On The Other Side Of Broken' Poem by Linda Winchell

'I'M On The Other Side Of Broken'

I'm on the other side of broken
But can only look in from the outside.
Can't seem to fix what was shattered
Of my love, my joy, my pride.

I took what was dished out to me
And it broke my spirit of loving who I thought I was.
My brokeness I feel now un-fixable
I'm only feeling this, just because.

Because maybe you had felt so little of me
That you decided that hurting me would have to do.
I still don't know why or what it was, I had ever done to you.

I'm on the other side of broken now
And can only look at it from the other side.
Maybe you'll come out and mend this heart you've shattered
And take me back and fix me, on the other side.
