stop trying to change me,
into who you want me to be,
i don't want to make,
the same mistakes you did,
look where it has gotten you,
you don't like it,
you so unhappy with your life,
that you trying to make me,
just as unhappy,
misery loves company,
let me grow and be myself,
stop trying to hold me back,
just because you afraid,
to chase your own dreams,
i don't mean to sound mean,
but it true,
let me make mistakes and learn,
our lives are not the same,
what you don't understand,
i might understand,
we been through different things,
we will never be the same,
i want to be me,
but it seems like i am held back,
from doing what i want to do,
it will be nice to have support,
but instead i'm left with,
judgemental remarks,
but that's okay,
i now see clearly,
so why you too busy hating,
i'm still going to continue,
to do me,
it what i good at best.
