It's hard to deal with the system when you're always standing at attention for the man
Waiting to be shot down for no cause when will it all end
When will the system ever change we're waiting for the world to change
But how can the world change when the system remains the same for the black man
Still left back in time as if we don't have a mind to know right from wrong or a mind of our own
We should be free and feel free as such to walk down the street without being beaten or shot by the man sometimes in the back for no rhyme or reason
Just for being born a black man because of the system we were labeled and doomed from the start of time
It seems as the system will never change therefore the world remains the same for the black man
Day by day is a chance we take to Live another day from being shot in the back by the man and let down by the system time after time again
Changes of the world when will it all really come to an end for us to be free to walk the streets freely without standing at an attention for the man
Walk talk without fear are we really living a care free life without fear?
I say not it's enough to have to deal with the rat race of the streets and look for safety and comfort but to seek protection no matter what color of our skin
We need to know that we are being treated as such human beings created by the same man "God"
Time is now yesterday was late the present I say for the world to change
As we come together as one like I know that we can finally in this lifetime before it all ends
Look what's happening around us to our country what's happening to our White House
We are in danger and one day we will depend on each other this is when the world will change when it's too late to realize we need one another no matter what color of the skin
The words I speak I speak from experience I've lived the streets and I knew the streets and what the man was about towards us
I have a friend well friends whom life was taken by the man I speak the words not words that I think but the words that I know
Yesterday were too late tomorrow may never come the present is now to change the world
I am a black man and I have been waiting for the World to Change the system will not allow for us the black man to be completely free to walk the street freely in our own body mind or soul
Walk talk on pins and needles never knowing will it be you the lucky victim and your love one's that the system let down
When will it all really end for me for you for all black men to finally be free from the slavery that we're was freed from centuries ago
I'm Waiting on the World to Change
