I'm Writing This Poem With My Gaze ~ Pogledom Ti Pišem Pjesmu Poem by Jankovic Zoran

I knew I was carrying a woman over the water.
Someone else, with a new haircut,
i was dunked at the deep sea.

I wrote a sonet to a woman
without stopping for three days.
To other I was barking under the window.

I think they all loved me.
And did I know what love was?
Now when I have to do in ordinary words
to show the feelings I feel strange.

I wish the woman to transfer me
over the riverbed,
to throw me into the deep sea,
to barked under the window.

She only wrote me a poem.
I shake and I look at her.
That rascol from the first line
would immediately tell her:

"You look young and beautiful
  Like you were born yesterday.
  I'd like to be your best man
  so let me give you a new name:
  "My dear."

But I'm speechless
because we are looking into the eyes,
I'm writing this poem with my gaze.

Pogledom joj pišem pjesmu

Znao sam ženu nositi preko vode.
Neku drugu sam, s novom frizurom,
zagnjurio u duboko more.

Jednoj sam pisao pjesme
bez prestanka tri dana.
Drugoj sam lajao pod prozorom.

Mislim da su me sve voljele.
A da li sam ja znao šta ljubav?
Sad kad moram u običnim riječima
pokazati osjećanja čudno se osjećam.

Poželim da me žena prenese
preko nabujale rijeke,
da me baci u duboko more,
da mi zalaje pod prozorom.

Ona mi samo napiše pjesmu.
Ja zadrhtim i pogledam u nju.
Onaj mangup iz prve strofe
odmah bi joj rekao:

"Izgledaš mlada i lijepa
kao da si se juče rodila.
Htio bih da ti budem kum
pa da ti dam novo ime:
"Moja Draga."

Ali ja ostanem bez riječi
jer mi se gledamo u oči,
Pogledom joj pišem ovu pjesmu.
