I Miss You - Poem by Mazwi Sedibe
I miss you, for empty winds do blow in the open gap
You left in my heart
I miss you for these encircling leaking buckets
Cannot contain the substance you concealed
Whenever I poured my heart out confiding
I miss you for I find my hands filled with worthless
Corals and in heaven with you sea shells
As I walk on memory seashores in a quest for replicas
I sure miss you for in one of your photos I can still see
All your conducts, gestures, your smile and tear
Your joys, pains, this and that, but the fact
That your eyelids have stopped their constant
Routine dancing, pains
Inside as I am bereaved and trying to find insight
Rip Me Sedibe
