Love Poem - Poem by Mazwi Sedibe

Where do you start to write a poem about love?
When what you feel is not anymore love
Where do you place this feeling in your heart?
When all you have is broken pieces of your heart
You have lingered long in needs and wants confusion
Is this love, is this what I want, and is this my destiny?
You have remained too long in false pretence
Now come to a life conclusion.
Move away, move closer or just move on?
What is love?
When now I have you to hate?
What happened to happiness?
When loneliness and the regret of loosing you is my fate
Where do I begin finding answers and reasons?
Why we need or needed to part
Were you the right love party?
Was I prepared to let death do us part
Apart from all of this, was I prepared to later
deal with the fact that we are incompatible?
Yes It is probable that we would have learnt to love,
Yet it is possible that we couldn't have gone pass love
at first sight, at first fight,
last fight and last night
it all ended and faded with the sobering night.
and now healing from this loss of pain is my right
but whenever the time is right.
