I Must Explain Love Poem by Naveed Akram

I Must Explain Love

I must explain love as it reminds me of you,
What shall I write according to the rules of sides?
My blend of action and words carries a deed too concrete,
I come to Love as it satisfies the inspiration,
I come to it along the straight path.

Beg of His Mercy as the donning of beauty adores me,
Listening to Him conquers my heart, loving Him creeps
Into my blood capillaries, like a son watches his father
With awe at all remonstrances.

I must love lovers according to the Time,
Presenting us with new gifts of pleasure,
Fainting from too much ardour and related topics,
Forcing like a fork or knife, or other eating tools.

I shall say to you a delivery of the heart,
Begging of His Mercy like the inventories of great saints.
I can explain all the related matters of historical importance,
I can exactly repair the muscles and skeleton.

My actions are my words, and my words are my actions,
Forming me as I effervesce like milk and honey,
Speech of a darling child is upon the lips.
