I Must Stay Awake Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

I Must Stay Awake

Don't let me miss
Call me loud
When from the sky sound
Of azan drops in a sweet flow
And I will feel proud

Knock on my door
A little bit hard
When prayer from temples
Floats in the air
Like chirping of a bird

You should come to
Pull me from bed
When bells from church's
Tower rings a sermon and
In the east appears a tinge of red

Standing at my door
I must bend down low
When sound of gurbani
From portal of a gurudwara,
Fills the air with its majestic flow

Let me stay awake
All through the day and night
I don't want to miss the message
Of love and peace and
Bath in His grace of divine light
