Like a beggar I'm now forced to beg,
A little more of your time I need,
I miss your presence I confess,
when they pass by me,
Couples smiling at each other and holding hands I wish,
That you were with me here as well.

I'm swimming through a lake of memories,
Memories that you and I have built over time
You used to be so afraid of being far away from me,
My company used to be something you really treasured,
I'm still yours dear please don't stay away from me.

The space between us is getting so big I'm afraid,
You standing on the other side and I on this side,
it will only get worse but together we can still fix it,
Baby you are still a part of me please don't avoid me,
Give me more time and we we will bridge all this space between us.
