The Last Stroke Poem by Oscar Munir

The Last Stroke

Rating: 3.7

If honesty could be increased by taking a pill,
I would have given you a thousand pills,
For you have got an honesty deficiency syndrome,
Nothing about you is real, was real.

I discovered you came from a poor family only after we got married,
A social climber, you had always bragged your parents were rich,
You didn't graduate from Harvard,
On a contrary, you are a college dropout.

You insisted you were a virgin and that I was your first guy,
But you were a divorcee with two kids living with another man,
God I'm so naive, to believe all those guys were your siblings!
Yet you were always meeting and hosting your ex boyfriends!

Oh how I love these two wonderful children!
They have been my world, my very life's existence but,
Discovering that none of them is mine,
Is without a doubt, the last stroke that broke the camel's back.
