In Love For So Long Poem by Oscar Munir

In Love For So Long

He's got eyes as beautiful as gems,
When he smiles,
Oh I don't want him to stop,
His voice alone,
Sounds better than a violin,
I want him, I really want him,
Like a child craves for candy,
I crave for him.

I was only seven when I first saw and admired him,
He was already a young man, about 18 years,
Can you calculate the age difference now?
At my young age I wished and prayed,
That i could grow older faster,
So as to match with him,
Or even for him to remain still and maybe,
I could catch up with him in growth physically.

Well, my silent secret prayer was answered,
I'm eighteen now, and he's not married yet,
His girlfriends, some I've met and it kills me inside,
With my size and age I believe we are all legal,
He's been like a brother to me and a good friend but,
Seeing him with other girls is torture of its own,
Telling me about his relationship is horrible as well,
Its very sad he has no idea.

Oh how i love and adore him!
We make a fine couple I strongly believe,
He's told me I'm beautiful,
A wonderful girl and stopped at that,
Dear Lord, I need to hear more than this,
For little does he know that this beautiful girl is crazy,
Crazy about him and she has kept it for so long,
His only woman is all she is yearning to be.
